When, Jeanette first got me, she tried to give me a name, and as has been referenced here on the site several times, I am a vain little bird. Well, she tried several times to name me and I just didn't like any of them. She wanted to name me Tristan of all things! Ick! I was flattered, well sort of, for her to think of naming me after one of her favorite gaming characters, but Tristan Therr is an ass, and well, I maybe many things, but that I am not.
So, for months I was just called her gryphon, which I didn't mind one bit. Then we went to Phil Con 1999, and I met Katherine Kurtz. Well, Jeanette was a little embarrassed to tell Katherine, that she didn't know what my name was because I was being so choosey. That's the first time, Jeanette called me a vain little bird. I'm sorry, but I didn't like any of the name choices she was giving me!
Anyway, Katherine Kurtz was just thrilled to see Jeanette walking with a shoulder gryphon, like me, and gave me my name, Corwyn. It is the name of a Duchy in her Deryni series that she wrote. Of course Jeanette had to explain it to me, but once I understood, the referance, I was thrilled and honored to be named Corwyn. And that is how I got my name.

New Years 2000 was fun!!!
Everyone went to Brian and Jeantte's friend Rob's house for New Years. We
had a blast ringing in the new year of 2000, with lots of goodies, and fireworks and other fun stuff. And of course the camera was handy to take all sorts of pictures! Once again,
proving that I am a vain bird, I made it a point to be in some of those picutres. Some of them even made it to the site!

There is so much going on, lately. And I am looking forward to a lot of fun things in the next few months. Hopefully, as you go thru my site, you will take a look at where I have been and where I am going and decide to join me at some of the best sci fi media conventions that are on the map. As, I travel from convention to convention and such, I will be adding more stuff to my site.
